William D. (Bill) Auman is an award winning author and criminal defense attorney. He was the principal defense attorney in the case If Trees Could Testify… is based on. He has published numerous articles in various journals, together with the book “Pioneer Paddling Colonial Carolina.” He has practiced law since 1986 and has also been an adjunct professor for 25 years at UNC-Asheville and Mars Hill University.
